Create a scoped key
Open Settings → API Keys in the intended workspace. Create a key with only the permissions your agent needs. Keep the key in the agent’s secure configuration, never in browser code or a public repository.
Configure your MCP client
Use the Autopilot MCP endpoint with your key and workspace UUID. Replace the placeholders below in your client’s MCP configuration.

Ask your agent to call get_workspace and check the returned workspace before starting a crawl or writing an article. Grant publishing permission only when the agent should be able to publish approved drafts.
Handle errors
MCP tool errors use result.isError even when the HTTP response is 200. Inspect the returned error text. Do not assume HTTP success means the requested action succeeded.
